#36- FINAL ESSAY OUTLINE <3

Something good about South Central is that it is improving from how it was before. One thing that can improve in South Central is the trash in the streets. I think if eeryone put some effort South Central wouldn’t look so dirty. Another thing that can change is the education. Probably if we decide to make school fun for kids they would come on their own. I like living in South Central because it is not as bad as they say it is. But some times I don’t like living here because of the violence and drugs. The three most important events that have had the greatest impact on making South Central, LA what it is today are, Immigration, gang history, and crack epidemic.

One thing that has made South Central what it is today Immigration. Today most of the people who live in South Central are Blacks and Latinos. Latinos come here for a better life. It is important because most of the jobs are used up by immigrants. This is not bad but my point is that South Central needs immigrants. I chose this because people don’t want to see that they need immigrants here.

A second thing that has made South Central what it is today is the Gang history. It is important because before gangs weren’t bad. They were made to protect their community. For example, the Black Panthers and the Brown Berets existed there wasn’t so much crime.  Now in days gangs are for protection , territory, and power. I chose this because if gangs were changed from good to bad they can be changed from bad to good.

A third thing that has made South Central what it is today is the Crack Epidemic. This is important because so many families were destroyed. All of South Central got affected. Many people lost a mom, dad, brother , sister, son, daughter, best friend, husband, wife, and family members due to the crack epidemic. All this happen only to start a war in Nicaragua. I chose this because I think this is one of many scars of South Central.

In conclusion I think that the three most important events that have had the greatest impact on making South Central, LA what it is today are Immigration, Gang history, and Crack Epidemic. Hopefully , South Central is a place were all stereotypes would positive. Were gangs would be positive. Also were drugs won’t be that much powerful.

Sal Castro was born on October 25,1933. He  was born in Los Angeles. He help organize the Brown Berets as a teacher. They put together a walkout to protest schools in LA. He as a teacher wanted equal rights for all students in LAUSD.  He got a Nobel prize from the president Barrack Obama. He also boycotted East La Schools. This made him a good leader because he help students get their equal rights as any other student.
